I took this picture last summer in Barcelona, Spain.

Now. Think about it. You're in SPAIN. And you see a sign on a telephone pole. When you read it, you notice that it's in English. No, it isn't welcoming tourists. It's telling them not to pee in the street.

Europe's Subway Systems, and why they're better

Most of the stations are fitted with surprisingly accurate estimated arrival time clocks. Only recently have I seen a few of these in NYC.

I fell in love with these things on my trip to Rome and Barcelona. They are much more secure then the gates that aren't monitored. The only problem is if you have a kid, who is free. In which you would have to keep them REALLY close to you.






The single and only downside: Graffiti

However, most of the trains have been replaced with ungraffitiable, if that's a word, paint similar to the US.
